Washoe County Amateur Radio Emergency Service provides trained, disciplined amateur radio operators ready to support Emergency Management, Public Safety, and partner agencies throughout Reno, Sparks, and Incline Village. Our volunteers deliver resilient, field‑ready communications when incidents overload, disrupt, or disable conventional systems. 

WC‑ARES maintains a structured leadership team, standardized training program, and a roster of operators capable of rapid deployment. WC‑ARES meets on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM at the Regional Emergency Operations Center (REOC), 5195 Spectrum Blvd., Reno. These sessions strengthen readiness, refine procedures, and ensure alignment with Emergency Management priorities.  Click here for Directions  by Google Map
