There will be no meeting on June 6, 2026 due to a special event for which WC‑ARES will be providing communications support.

Our next scheduled meeting will be held on July 11, 2026. This will allow our members to celebrate 4th of July weekend with family and friends

WC‑ARES meetings and training sessions take place at the REOC, 5195 Spectrum Blvd., Reno.

They are normally held on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 AM, with the exception of June and July.

Join us for the next Meeting on July 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM.

Training for July will be from Tim Hargrove (KK7WRC) On GMRS for Reno -Sparks area. The Reno–Sparks radio community is charging into July with serious momentum. Some members are diving into GMRS like never before. Exploring powerful local repeaters, sharpening real‑world communication skills, and discovering how GMRS teams up with Amateur Radio Emergency Services to boost readiness across our region. This month’s meeting is all about action, connection, and building a stronger, faster, more resilient network together. Get ready to learn, collaborate, and energize the airwaves as we take GMRS and ARES to the next level.

WC-ARES Meetings and Training are located at the REOC 5195 Spectrum Blvd in Reno. On the first Saturday of the month. Starting time is at 10:00 AM.

Please park in the two main parking lots on the right side as you come up the hill.

Then you will walk to the main building on the left. Use the side door and push the button to gain access.

Some months we hold our board of directors meeting after the training meeting. All members or visitors are welcome to attend.

Please use the side door to enter the building.

You will need to push the regional EOC button. Then wait patiently for someone to let you in.
