Washoe County Amateur Radio Emergency Service serves the regional Reno-Sparks-Incline Village area of Northern Nevada.

The Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES) consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment with their local ARES leadership for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.

Our mission is to develop and maintain the leadership and organizational structure necessary to provide radio communications support to Emergency Management, Public Safety, and other public service agencies during emergencies or other times when normal communications systems are overloaded or have failed.

ARES Training and Meetings are located at the REOC 5195 Spectrum Blvd in Reno on the first Saturday of the month. Starting time at 10:00 AM.

JULY  6th MEETING will be by ZOOM. Click This Link For Zoom Info.

The Northwest Nevada District ARES Net is every Thursday @ 7:30pm on the SNARS linked system.
